Maracatu
Maracatu
Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of this exclusive seven-layer A3 limited edition screen print, capturing the essence of a Cabeça de Boco, a Maracatu dancer.
Originally photographed during a spirited carnival rehearsal in Recife, Brazil, this print is a visual feast of cultural dynamism.
Meticulously separated in Photoshop, each layer was transformed into a unique stencil and transferred onto a silk screen. The result is a mesmerizing tapestry that pays homage to the rich heritage and rhythmic movements of the Maracatu tradition, bringing the lively spirit of Brazilian carnival to life in every intricate layer.
Featuring a 7-color screen print on 250gsm Daler Rowney Bristol Board paper, this limited edition of only 10 prints is signed and numbered by the artist.
Measuring A3 in size, this print originates from a photograph taken by the artist while traveling in Brazil. Due to the nature of screen printing, there will be some variation between prints.
To ensure safe delivery, prints are sent via special delivery, wrapped with acid-free tissue paper, and rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.
