A solid pine chest with four drawers finished in a deep purple glaze.
This bedroom chest of drawers was lovingly stripped, up-cycled and re-styled using the Ancient Japanese Burning technique of Yakisugi, also known as Shou Sugi Ban.
The wood was lightly BURNT with a blow torch which helps the wood to strengthen and makes the wood grain POP! Once sanded and cleaned, a deep purple wood dye was applied. Several coats of Danish oil were applied to seal the dye.
This chest of drawers is ideal for storing clothes in the bedroom for a child, teen or adult. Please note the inner drawers are left natural, sealed with several coats of oil to keep them smelling and looking fresh.
The contrasting brass square handles complete the look for this stylish yet very practical chest of drawers.
