Microbiology - Cluster

This 15cm wood-on-wood wall sculpture explores the hidden beauty of the microbiological and fungi world. 

Inspired by a cluster of mushrooms the piece features intricate dot work painted around the pretending pieces on top of a deep void like Musou Black — the world’s blackest paint. This creates a striking depth and contrast to the piece. 

The patterns and dot details shift subtly under different lighting conditions, including UV light, revealing new layers and dimensions as the environment changes.
